I got this phone for my wife as a birthday present and all she does with her friends is to send and receive SMS and MMS messages. She is up in Toronto and there is a particular issue with this phone being on the Rogers network that it can't send MMS messages without putting her on a data plan, which she doesn't h ave. She has gone to the Rogers store numerous times and all they could get working is MMS receive but not send, DESPITE HAVING THE LATEST VERSION OF fMMS INSTALLED. I've had arguments with her about the phone for the past month since I got it for her and was about to throw it against the wall because the phone can't do this basic function 100% without some arcane hacking by a Rogers store smart phone specialist and it's only working 50% for her.

SORRY, but this NEEDS TO GET POISHED AND FULL IMPLEMENTED and someone needs to explain why a simple cell phone function such as MMS that has existed for a decade ISN'T IMPLEMENTED NATIVELY ON A TOP OF THE LINE NOKIA PHONE?
Im just still wondering sometimes, where people get all informations before they buy a phone or any equipment.
Where is it mentioned that the NOKIA N900 can send or receive MMS? Never and nowwhere. Ok there is fmms which is great application, but also there its mentioned that it could be that its not working for all Operators.
So If you need a special device for SMS and MMS you better should check before you buy one if the device really supports the functionality you need?!
