Thanks! those links did the job.

Essentially, go to tools, bluetooth, devices and scan for the keyboard. set the keyboard to be discovered by pressing the ctrl key along with left and right fn keys. Type the paring code and press enter on the keyboard and you are good to go. Thanks for the help.
