millhouse,thanx for your advice! i have a result! friday am,called exps and spoke to a salesperson,explained the situ.he promised someone will call back and discuss.the following 2 hrs were spent investigating various nokia no's and not getting anywhere. i mean one of the no's on nokias website was answered with ,hello,marks motors here,can i help!!!!!! another no was completely dead!spoke to trading standards and received some advice, not being fit for purpose etc, some help,usefull but not exactly legal sledgehammer stuff.
anyway,called expansys again,spoke to a woman and told her i definitely did not want a refund,she says there are no more in stock, i replied as expansys are so bloody huge and global, i think you should get me one! I WANT A REPLACEMENT! i was adamant. she puts me on hold after muttering somethin bout returns manager,one piped stevie wonder song followed by lionel ritchie and she says they will supply a replacement! are you sure i say,yes! she says,somebody will be in touch!
so i have a satisfactory outcome.just have to box up and return the original one and maybe i will receive one in return!
although before i return it i will give em a call just to verify!
what a crappy exp! why don't these companies treat us consumers with more respect! to be honest, expansys i think have acted ok. its nokia,who ought to get their act together,especially on the cust svs front! so i will let you know if i receive my 770. cheers again.
