IMO, this is just Nokia's usual communication style. They talk about it through their developer channels, but they will not publicly announce (denounce?) or acknowledge it.

As for the question of 'Will MeeGo be available (officially) on n900?', i think that's a fair question because it actually seems to be the norm when you look at the competitors:

- iPhone 3G (2008) and 3GS (2009) are still getting iOS 4.2 upgrade.
- Many current 1.6 (2009) Android phones are getting 2.2.

Ok, the Nokia defendors will probably say 'b-b-b-but it's not a smartphone'... to which I will paint an even starker comparison with the 'pc' market:

Perpetually continuous upgrades are available to all major OSes... the OSS ones are available for free (various flavours of linux and bsd).. and the commercial ones are offered at a discount (Windows, OSX, solaris, etc). They all would run on machines that are as old as 5+ yrs or more.
