Yes. It can run faster. It's just a bunch of transitors after all. You just have to be lucky to have a good sample in your N900. Lehto has managed to boot at 1220Mhz on his N900 on a really cold day. But it was unstable. Not sure if he tried pushing more voltage into it. But we still have many unknown variables so it's difficult to know why it's becoming unstable. (affect on heat, DSP, GPU etc) Are you sure? AFAIK, both Titan and Lehto has locked their kernel to max of 1150Mhz.
