We tested it on a couple of calls and then I reverted just hp.parameters file back to the original PR1.3 settings. Subsequent calls had no echo even when the volume was turned up to the max.

Is it possible that adjusting the settings on the ear-piece interferes with an echo cancellation algrorithm which may be tuned for the original settings?

Yep seems as the only explanation to me. So I'll have to fix this issue.

ear ref padding is responsible for lowering or "muffling" sound quality so it won't sound too loud or dry as to hurt hearing. In my script i turned it down to make volume louder....guess it causes some problems on some devices. I don't have this issue though...strange.

Thx for the responses I'll fix this right away.
