Hmmmm i have a feeling i may be limited and need to get advice elsewhere.

In the first instance i want to use qt mobility / qt - so the app will work easily in the future. But i have a feeling QT will only display if the infrared device is available (not necessarily test it)

will take a further look at other qt methods though to see if i can get any more info.
