Hi Ammyt thanks for asking.

I do not encounter the 5 dots after flashing, I have to manually reset the device (long press power button).

The display is unfaded (backlight on but all black) and then it fades out completely.

LED is completely dead, no flashing, no lights no nothing.

I've run out of resources to fix and just decided I'd have to live with it, though appreciate suggestions.
