I have to elaborate on how carriers and vendors have been glacially slow to provide updates to their devices, especially ones like Motorola that you can't load 3rd party ROMs on?



My point is that despite Google's frequent updates to the OS, the end users are often not granted such upgrades for some time. Granted, MeeGo wouldn't be immune to it but I take such positives as you mention with a large grain of salt. It's true, yes, but for a limited audience.
