Not very clean solution, but at least it works I used nano in xterm to edit files.
Ooh - I got all excited for one minute, hopped over to sourceforge, only to find that they have nothing for my Pentax K20D

Is there a way to find out the remote code, maybe record it with my n900?

Even if its not possible, hats off to the developer, as this is a great example of the 'swiss army knife n900'
