Chevrolet has a 100,000 mile/5 year warranty just as Nokia has a warranty on the N900.

Where your analogy sorta fails though is that GM has clear communication that a new model is forthcoming, thus the year preceding the name of the model whereas Nokia has used a rather vague term of "Step 4 out of 5".

I'd somewhat trust that if the 2011 GM models were to have something go wrong, such as the place where you put in gasoline were to pull out, there would be a public recall. No such luck on the micro USB port on the N900.

But it can be argued that technology, ever marching forward will leave behind beloved gadgets such as the N900 in the name of progress, the absolute lack of communication on some things is sorta disappointing.

Oh well. Back to lurking
