See previous answers in this thread, pixel, for site purpose. I *think* we've covered it. I agree about the forum; no reason to compete with an obvious winner... although there could be a small, dedicated forum for site-specific support.

And yeah, dreamhost can be used to prove it out, then who knows. We have a year at $29.

Oh, and I sketched out a jablet logo. I'll work on that maybe tomorrow and get a graphic up for preview.
