There, corrected that for you: I'd say, within reason, you can do everything on the N900 you could on a netbook; and like a netbook, graphics-heavy stuff and especially Flash games don't work well.
I still hope to use it as a laptop replacement for most things once I get USB hostmode up and running so I don't have to type with my thumbs: as I wrote elsewhere, a full mouse and keyboard and a TV for a monitor, and you're set IMHO!
Oh, and one more thing: remember that an ARM is designed primarily for low power use (MIPS or FLOPS per watt) and the memory is smaller and slower, so even a simple compile might be hard on it and take a while (I have yet to try it myself); keep this in mind for development. (AKA, don't expect a 4-banger Honda to even remotely perform like an 8+-banger Corvette!) You *DO* have a sweet alternative in VNC, though--which, even better, works BOTH ways!
