Others have mentioned swappolube as an important aspect to increasing the apparent speed of your N900. Transition Control is another program that can add to the snappiness of the UI. Swappolube changes how the N900 handles information. Transition Control handles how the N900 UI makes transitions. Overclocking, swappolube and Transition Control are the ABC of making the N900 appear to to and actually, run faster.
