I have been trying to set up push email on my N900.
My server is gmail.com
I have tried to follow the instructions on
http://mobile-users.net/2009/12/how-...on-nokia-n900/
Some things don’t quite work out, though:
When I go to “sign up”, and enter my cell phone number and select the N900, a message returns saying “Your mobile phone already has the latest Nokia Messaging software installed. To setup Nokia Messaging directly from your phone, go to Menu > Email > New > Follow on screen instructions.
Don't forget to Accept the Service Terms.”
When I select my other telephone (Nokia 5230), a message returns “Invalid Mobile Phone Number”.
When I try to set up push email from my N900, I follow all the instructions:
I select “New Account” > “Canada” > “Nokia Messaging” and follow the rest of the prompts.
In the end, the account is set up, but it is not “Push email” – it polls my email server at the intervals which I select.
BTW, I never saw the "Accept the Service Terms.”
Can anyone instruct me how to set up Push Email on my Nokia N900?
Thanks for any help!!!
