In symbian devices, the Nokia Messaging uses Phone memory for emails, contacts and calendar right?

so for n900......does Nokia Messaging use the 32GB onboard mass storage?

i use the email client and tried to add my hotmail on......but surprise, surprise i saw Nokia Messaging on the Providers......which i did not pay attention to in the past 11 months of using it.
