I'm willing to bet one of my limbs that Apple will piss off the fanboys here BIG TIME, when Apple tries to make writing cool again in one of their future iPad iterations (w/ a multitouch capable screen that's stylus friendly).

They definitely have the technology, even some of the elements from their Newton pad was way ahead of its time; and you can find some of them embedded into their desktop OSX (to be used with wacom-style digitizers).

No, I don't think it's due on iPad 2... perhaps 3rd time's a charm?
