While getting in the car, my N900 fell. Had LCD backlight problems. Goes a little brighter when pressed on the side.
Nokia replaced the LCD for $100.
After 4 months, the backlight went crazy again, but then the LCD completely turns off intermittently.
The phone went in the Nokia Service Center again.
After 1 month in their hands, Nokia informs me that it was a internal board problem. I refused the repair.
Bought a replacement LCD in eBay ... I was sure it was just the LCD again.
LCD arrives .... after removing 4 screws .... I discovered the flex cable was not properly connected in place.
Now I have:
1. Lost trust in Nokia Service Center.
2. An Extra LCD panel from eBay.
3. Renewed adoration for my N900.
4. Wonder if my first LCD was really broken.
