Hi , i installed PR 1.3 when it came out. Now i am trying to over clock my N900 a little. I had previously overclocked it when i had PR1.2.
I followed these steps :
Downloaded the following 3 via application manager from extras-devel
1. rootsh
2. enhanced linux kernel for power users
3. enhanced linux kernel for power users (settings)
Once they were installed rebooted the device.
Once rebooted opened the xterminal, and tried to run the following commands:
sudo gainroot
kernel-config load ideal
When i run the last command, i get the following msg : "This kernel version 2.6.28-omap1 is not supported. Please make sure that kernel-power is installed and running. If you have just installed the kernel, you need to shutdown and boot to activate it.
To reinstall the power user kernel run : 'apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power kernel-power-flasher' ".
I am not sure if i am suppose to install this kernel-power.
Kindly guide me what do i have to do to fix this? Are there any other steps i need to perform to overclock in PR 1.3? Thanks.
