Yeah, lxp helped me a lot to get them to compile - it was straightforward once I knew the 'trick', but without that, I'd still be trying now I'm sure he wouldn't mind; I will send him an email today. However, they are currently built against the v42 of the BFS kernel, so I really need to update my source first!
