Depends more on the GPU, my Acer Revo R3610p (1.6GHz Atom 330 Dual Core) running XBMC plays 1080p h.264 with about 15% CPU utilisation. This is because the NVidia ION GPU it has has hardware-accelerated h.264 decoding.

I rather guess that Nokia may bring out some MeeGo Tablet, that may have an Atom processor.
Of course, thus my comment that Nokia working on Atom-based development kits doesn't necessarily have anything to do with *handsets*, tablets are probably a better target with Atom?
