Change it wouldn't be a problem, but the low value is for slow connections. On settings, there will be an option for how many tweets/mentions you want to download.

What I need to have (and do now when using other tool)
; when I refresh after a long time and get a lot of messages I first tap on the last message, refresh and then use the up button to read from the last readed message on to the last received one by one. If you know what I mean.
Reading your messages from the newest to the oldest has no sence. Maybe you can manage this on other creative way but I see it as very important.
