That's almost never the case. The anaphylactic shock the N900 sometimes gets when receiving a call or message are due to applications being swapped in/out. More cores would not help it, only more memory.

On a side note, now that you mention surfing, there IS one benefit to multicore - namely that you can banish Flash to a core and let it suck juice there without grinding the whole system to a halt. The flip side is of course the shorter battery life, but hey... can't have it all.
