I completely missed the fact that I wasn't the default assigned-to. Thanks for catching that.

I've applied a modified version of your patch. Seeing the original bug report I got some sample text to use and confirmed on my desktop system that this seems to fix it. I think that for best results, my previous change is also needed. I've also made sure to keep unicode information when copy-pasting the log.
