Is there any way to tell if the nic itself is faulty? I've been unable even get a list of wireless networks, it scans then tells me there are no access points available.

In the console ifconfig shows no wlan device and if i run ifconfig wlan0 up the device just freezes.

Phone has the latest updates on it so i'm at a loss.
