Ah that makes sense, a shame though, since that, for me, is it's most compelling feature. Doesn't seem to be a way to sync it from the command line (so it could sync in the background)

Why would that improve firefox startup time? At best, it would allow me to disable microb from loading in the background but that might cause a general improvement nothing specific to fennec...
