It wasn't even a rumour. It was an open letter(I guess not very open 'cause I couldn't find it) by a bank analyst to Elop and Ballmer and from the excerpts a very trollish one. One article in Bloomberg referencing it, and a hundred others with the exact same content. I'm not sure the stock surge is because of this, especially because it wasn't a rumour to begin with. Now calm down.
