Hello everyone, I have tried to read through the thread (its a long one at that ) and have met a lot of cases of people who installed from the garage and still didnt get the necessary result. I am one of such.
have tried to walk through the guides given by some advanced users still to no avail. When I install the espeakcaller app ad test it from its GUI, it responds fine by calling out the names in my cintact list. I noticed however that I do not have the two buttons to "re(start) daemon" and "stop daemon"' Also, it doesnt call out any names when i try calling my phone. I have restarted and reinstalled at least twice with the same result. Finally, when i install, I get version 0.8 when i check the "About" in the espeaker GUI.
Am a newbie but i think i know a bit of tech to follow through with any guides. Please, any help would be appreciated.
