Ah, I share your habit. One aspect of the n900 I love is the ability to use a lanyard (something I missed when I was using an iPhone), so now when I fumble my phone, it only dangles from my wrist, rather than falling to the floor. Yeah, if space is truly at a premium, I've gotta say that it's easier to take notes with the n900 than any other cell-phone-sized device I've ever used. Sadly, that isn't saying much, as I haven't tested very many tiny devices in this way; but for me, the ability to open up a text file in Vim and edit it in exactly the same way I do on a desktop machine is amazing.
