It didn't work for IBM with OS/2, and it wouldn't work for Nokia. Hell, it finally killed IBM in the x86 OS space. Android has the existing momentum, ecosystem, developer base and number of apps. If Nokia offered hybrid Android/Qt phones, no-one would develop for Qt. Why do that when you target so many more devices, including all the high-end Nokias, with a single platform?
