We are looking for a Software Developer join the OS&Adaptation SW test team. Working in collaboration with other Nokia R&D teams across the globe, you will ensure the quality of US market specific cellular features. Your job is varied including setting up and maintaining test automation system, developing test automation, running manual test cases on specific features, reproducing and triaging errors while capturing traces and logs, and verifying error corrections. As your competence grows, you will take on more responsibilities in finding the root causes for errors. Beyond regular testing activities you will do exploratory and field testing.

Qualifications

To apply for this role, you have a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in software testing, Masters Degree preferred. Software development background and experience of mobile phone SW testing in Linux environment is a MUST. Your toolbox of skills includes fluent programming skills in C, C++ and Python in Linux environment, as well as experience of SW test frameworks (like check) and testing automation tools. You have a proven track record of triaging and finding root causes for errors. You do not hesitate to dive deep into our vast source code base. Working experience with Nokia cellular modem and related tracing tools would be beneficial.

You have good communication and presentation skills and can express yourself fluently in written and spoken English as this will prove essential in our international company. As a person you have a proactive and independent way of working and enjoy a changing environment. Some your colleagues will be located abroad, so taking initiative solving day-to-day issues and excelling in communication is a must. Additionally there is a need to participate in some early morning / late evening teleconferences.
