Do they really need a validation system for software downloads? The question is: why did they make the download "available" if the new device isn't available yet? And perhaps nokia will see that it is a good thing to release new software for everybody at the same time! Look at the old 770 trouble Nokia had, because they didn't release new software for it. More people will buy a tablet from nokia if they know that they will get new/better software as soon as possible! This available software-image should be the official N810 release image. If that isn't stable enough for normal usage... i don't know. Perhaps they should really think about official/unofficial betas...
