I returned my 770 to CompUSA because I couldn't stand having paid more than list price, and because the HTC 8125 PPC phone was on the horizon for Cingular, and I figured I could replace both my mpx220 and the 770 with one device that could do everything.

Well, having bought the 8125, it's on it's way back to Cingular a scant 3 days after getting it in the mail. Couldn't stand the browser. Even Opera on it was truly cruddy compared to the browsing experience on the 770. That and it was thick. The 770 fits nicely in a cargo pocket, but the 8125 felt too bricky.

So now it's going to be a 770 for web access, a SLVR for phone and modem (it's only GPRS, but I'll live. If I want fast I can always switch to the treo 650, but I'm liking the thin and light thing).

I'm just wondering if anybody else has tried the 770, left for something else, and come back for the web browsing joy.

Also, will anybody else admit to using the 770 on the can? I'm also going to have to invest in a plastic baggie for the bathtub.
