About not being blackmailed - well, of course he has to say that if he wants to keep his job. The fact remains that Vanjoki was top pick, evidenced by how
ambitiously he spoke
about the future of Nokia all the way
up to the election
, and then at the last minute the "second pick" outsider (according to Nokia:
chosen out of a group of three in the final round with no pressure from outside
) gets the job prompting the hitherto enthusiastic Nokia veteran Vanjoki to hand in his resignation (as did Nokia's
head of Meego
shortly afterwards).
Before this surprise election last September who ever even heard of that guy Elop?
