ElGatoFlojo are you sure? I was unaware that the Pearl was having trouble with n800 especially since it was the first phone I actually did get to work on my N800. Since then I've had the 8300 tethered will minimal fuss. Could it be a software issue on the blackberry?

Not sure what's different about my setup versus others out there but it was a fresh install at the time and using a Rogers (canada) device.
