By law he has a fiduciary duty with the company HE works for, that being Nokia if something happens to Nokia HE can get a nasty lawsuit from the shareholders as he is not protected by the corporate veil.

He is making a very bold move and if his bet pays off (which has a better gain rate than android) he is going to put Nokia in the center of the map.
