WP7 never will, and I highly doubt WP8 neither, unless MS transfers it to a open source license.

I truly doubt that any version of Windows will ever be open sourced. Would expose the bad programming probably.

btw, you did not answer, how long you are willing to wait a high end WP phone from Nokia?

I'm not willing to wait for any WP phone, Nokia or otherwise. Only reason I'm buying one is that I had stated quite a few times that I doubted fully that Nokia would go that way. I was quite wrong.

So by stating that, I'll go purchase a Nokia WP7 phone when it comes out with no rush nor any anticipation of when it comes out - I'm a person of my word, even on foolish stuff like this.

I was willing to be somewhat patient for the MeeGo phone, thought I'd see at least a mockup by now - mockup machine, not OS, the progress is steady and documented.

I just can't say that I'm enthusiastic about a WP7 phone at all.
