No, if you go ask Stskeeps he can tell you what it is. It's a baseline, and everything from the GUI up can be replaced with whatever the handset vendor wants. I'm sure you'd rather just sit back and insult his (and others) efforts more.

Well, hopefully they've done more investigation into what something is supposed to do and spoken with someone knowledgeable on the subject, unlike what you seem to be doing.

When did you last try it? Never mind that the version released on MeeGo.com is not intended for end-user purposes. It'd be like complaining about Linaro and how it's useless, without ever looking into what it's for.
I looked last week. And thatnk you for confirming what I have been saying. There is nothing that people can use. By people, I mean somebody that might want to use it other than a developer. I haven't tried it again, because everything I read is that it will render parts of my functionality non-functional. Fine, it may work as a tool/toy for developers to play about with. But as yet nothing has been produced that anybody can actually use in the way I can use the n900 or my netbook right now without it. So, why would anybody bother with it? And do you honestly believe that MeeGo will/could have provided an image that would simply work on any netbook, or the n900, in two months? C'mon. Be serious. What is there to show for this so far this year? Where are the hardware vendors queuing up to cut out their slice of the MeeGo action?

That is not insulting anybody's hard work.

Mish.
