Right, which is all that the people working on MeeGo, right now, have ever promised to deliver. Yet for some reason people seem to think that what you can download is supposed to be 100% functional for day to day use.

Most users wouldn't. Device vendors would, though.

And do you honestly believe that MeeGo will/could have provided an image that would simply work on any netbook, or the n900, in two months? C'mon. Be serious.
Any netbook? It works on a large number right now. All? No, mostly because hardware vendors have dropped the ball. N900? Yes, I believe there will be.

What is there to show for this so far this year? Where are the hardware vendors queuing up to cut out their slice of the MeeGo action?
Who knows, we're two months in.

That is not insulting anybody's hard work.
You're pretty much saying "they should just give up, as they have absolutely nothing to show for it and I can't load it on my phone and get 100% functionality right now" despite that never having been promised. Terribly misconstruing what MeeGo is about and harping on them doesn't help.
