I see no point in discussing this. I have a decent OS for my netbook, it is Ubuntu Unity. I have Maemo 5 for my n900. It is a shame that Nokia took us down the MeeGo route, because otherwise there could have been a Maemo 6 developed on the n900 that might have become available. I have little confidence that MeeGo will improve upon what I have now with Maemo. I am only interested in watching to see what becomes available through the Maemo community for the n900. If Nokia release future updates of Maemo 5, great. If there is a release of MeeGo that is straightforward to install in a way that allows my existing setup to be backed up and restored, I'd look at that. But I am not interested in MeeGo any more, only Maemo. I said some time ago that I feel it would have been better for Nokia to have teamed up with Canonical to work on a Unity implementation for mobile devices, rather than Intel & MeeGo.

Mish.
