Thanks blue_led! I'm sorry, but I eventually did not understand it right. When I try your example, both behave the same way.

led_current 10; brightness 255 -> short blink
led_current 255; brightness 10 -> short blink

Sorry if I got it all wrong, but do I need a MCE pattern for this to work? For example set the "DeviceOn" pattern to flash and then "End"? In the program I simply call the pattern all the time?

If this is true, why can't I do it with the led_current and brightness? How could a pl5523 application stop my program from working?
