I've just had the blank Application Manager screen issue described by other posters in this thread.
I have read the instructions on this thread, but am having some problems as I'm a bit of a N800 newbie. Hopefully some kind person will be able to help?
The "hostname" command returns Nokia-N800-26 & the top line of /etc/hosts is 127.0.0.1 Nokia-N800-26 localhost so as far as I can see, the hostname is the same in both places. Is this correct?
I then decided to try and change the hostname via sudo gainroot, but I'm then prompted to enter a password which I don't know so I'm unable to change the hostname :-(
I thought the point of becomeroot is you could then do a sudo gainroot and become root, without being prompted to enter a password, or am I terminally confused?!
HELP!
