Still got well about 15 months before I am eligible for an upgrade from my Phone operator (the N900 is on a contract), so there is no panic.

If Nokia release a N900 sucessor based on some variant of Maemo/Meego and it was available on contract, then I would be very very interested. My feeling is that support would be limited from Nokia, but community support would probably be upto the fine standards so far from here.

I would be sorely disappointed if we lost the hardware features which make the current device what it is. what other device out there has a similar combination. The key features for me are hardware keyboard decent camera, and a microsd slot.
