Has anyone else even seen this? Maybe I'm missing something here but it looks like you updated an "optional" package that has a bizzarre version number? To me it would seem like the package you updated was corrupted in some way. If it were truely spreading "like a virus" wouldn't there be more reports here, or a bugzilla thread?
