Darius2006, are you sure that the problem you had was really caused by bad repository or package update and not something like this bug: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2006?

In order to prove your point, you need to find a reliable way to reproduce the problem with repositories and post it somewhere, preferably in maemo bugzilla (you may not have time or desire doing this, but making any conclusions based on unconfirmed facts or pure speculations does not make very much sense either). On the other hand, WLAN driver on Nokia 770 using all official versions of OS2006 firmware has a known reproducible problem which can cause damage similar to what you have described (corrupted files).
