Your problem is you don't like buyers paying full price and expecting support from a manufacturer.
How Nokia can compete with iPod touch and e3xpect thousands of Nokia tablet on US market, not providing on-line support under Consumers Protection Act ?
Only a small number of buyers, paying reduced price for a Nokia tablet can spend days, weeks, months on developing new features, on reflashing it over and over again, but don't expect other buyers to follow the same procedures.
Paying full price on a free market full of gizmos, final buyers expect to get final products free of bugs, with full support, FAQs, Q&A, on-line/phone support provided by a manufacturer, not third parties like you, showing an interest in providing any assistance or not.

Finally, Nokia tablet is an excellent product, unfortunately market lost due to zero-support provided by a manufacturer.
Maemo.org is for developers, this site is a private website.
A new buyer is lost with his/her new gizmo product crashing from time to time.

Generally problem is called
[maemo-users] [maemo-users] broken application manager

If you know a solution, just give a solution.
None known to me yet.
So insist on maemo respository administrators to maintain all .deb respositories ready for download for security and verification reasons.

Alike problem is with System Monitor Plugin SMP showing wrong wifi transfer stat data, not showing IP address.
Already monitored the above and got no response.
