It is definitely the case that QSpot requires a Premium subscription in order to work (this is also clearly stated on the initial post in this thread). The problem that QSpot does not open is probably not related to this, however, and the best way to find out the problem error is in case you can start QSpot in the x-terminal and check the error output (start it by typing qspot).
