After the dbus-uuidgen command, I got a different error on starting:

advanced-systemui-test: can't connect to session method bus: Failed to execute dbus-launch to autolaunch D-Bus session
The run-standalone worked OK for me to test the two features I was interested in checking -- and yes, the SSH client count is correct, and the blank feature appears to properly override the 'remain lit while charging' setting.
