I'd have to grudgingly agree. Until recently, while clinging to my beloved 770, I wasn't convinced, but now that I have used a N800 and seen the difference, I think it's true.

Moreover, contrary to how things looked until this fall, it seems Nokia is making effective moves to conserve that "first-to-market" advantage when/if the actual competition arrives next year : the N800/N810 duo running the same codebase, more corporate endorsement and visibility, making amends with its user community, etc.

Also, Nokia does have a knack for detecting people and putting them to good use. The guys at INdT in Brazil, for instance, seem to have some really amazing projects cooking, that go way deeper than the eye candy.
