That's not quite true (the bit about installing OS X on VMWare).

A standard OS X install disc won't work on VMWare. I've got both a Mac and VMWare Fusion, so I know this is true.

You need to get hold of a cracked version that's had various patches applied. Then it will install on ANY computer, including VMWare, or an Eee, although it helps if your peripheral hardware (sound,wifi) match those built-into a Mac.

This is also an apology for being wrong in my earlier posting. I've looked into it and the dude sounds like he has actually got it onto his Eee using the hacked version. He says if you use 10.4 it runs quite well. But you can't update (hacked flies overwritten) and I should think there will be a handful of other flaky aspects to the adventure too.
